For those planning an Indian affair you definitely have to check out this video of an event at The Park Hyatt in Toronto. The event is called Bridalicious and its sole purpose is to educate and inform brides-to-be; help them feel confident in wedding decisions.

There were 3 themes that all of the participating guest speakers were required to tackle: Clarity, Innovation and Customization. Our friends at  CTC West provided key insight into these topics, as did the other presenting partners (G+H Photography, Amplified Soul Make-Up + Hair Couture, and Arora Wedding and Event Planning)

Design 2 Decor did the fabulous set up.

Overall the event comprised of some of the top vendors in the industry and they’ll be doing it all over again in the Fall! You can direct any questions to rsvp@ctcwest.ca if you’re interested!

For brides and grooms planning a destination wedding and in search of a venue that captures the essence of Indian Royalty this is it – Jaipur’s Rajvila’s. Oberoi Hotels and Resorts have  several hotels around India but this one at Jaipur completely caught my breath. It’s exotic and vibrant and rich with color. You’ll be sure to get pampered as Ranis/Rajas. The natural settings/design of the hotel will completely blow guests away and the pictures will look ridiculously gorgeous! The video – will appear as it if its been pulled straight out of a Bollywood epic film.

The folks at Oberoi recreated “the magnificence of princely Rajasthan, in a beautiful fort setting, with Jaipur as its backdrop; The Oberoi Rajvilas is set in 32 acres of landscaped gardens with pavilions and reflection pools that create the romance and grandeur of Rajasthan. Rooms, luxury tents and villas with private pools are clustered around private courtyards in a richly embellished fort setting.” Check out a few pictures below of the hotel and for more information visit their site here.

G+H Photography’s talented photographers caught every minute of this spectacular reception, from the floral arrangements to the smiles and laughters of the newlywed. The playfulness and outgoing personality of the couple exudes in every photo. Ambi’s and Rajish wedding reception was at Woodbine Banquet Hall and the theme was winter wonderland.  The bride looked stunning in blue lengha with stunning gold intricate work and the groom sported a charcoal gray suit.

Garima from G+H Photography is one of MY favorite photographers. Her photographs are heavenly and lovely. The images are rich with color, very detailed and Ambi and Rajish’s wedding is no different. Their tamil hindu wedding ceremony at Crystal Fountain Banquet embodied complete and utter beauty. The bride’s first saree was a gorgeous pink saree. The groom looked very handsome in his cream colored Sherwani as he waited under the floral mandap for his bride. The entrance of the ceremony was adorned with a beautiful kolam.

Ambi brought something different the table this was once a fashion – a mustard koorai saree, which commonly is red and it was gorgeous!  Check it out!

Sathya + Gobi Happy Anniversary!

Last year we had the pleasure of planning Sathya and Gobi’s extravagant and beautiful wedding The two-day celebration commenced with a hindu ceremony at the Richmond Hill Hindu Temple and to keep things very traditional they went with the gold and red color theme. The beautiful and lavish reception was held at Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall. The bride wore her koorai (red bridal sari) and changed into a customized green lengha and the groom wore a fitted gray suit. Green, cream and brown were the colors of the reception which kept everything classy. The room was lit up with LED lights and intelligent lighting. The fresh floral arrangements contained lots and lots of hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, roses, and snapdragons.

These two are an amazing couple and it was such an honour to be a part of their special day! Thank you guys!
