Elegance and Romantic Decadence

Engagement Photo Shoots: Do it in style and play up the theme. Emma Watson’s lovely and inviting photo shoot playfully reminds you of the twist and turns of Alice in Wonderland. What’s captivating is the vibrancy of colours and wispy face framing hairstyles. Contrast in the colours play up the mood and creatively reminds you of the 1930s fairytale setting. If you’re looking for both – fairytale and 1930s fashion – use this as your guide.

Imagine an engagement shoot inspired by an enchanting garden; rays of sunshine, surrounded by fragrant flowers, and a picnic under a willow tree while sitting on floral print quilt/blanket. This is exactly what Emma Watson’s shoot reminds me of. The icing on the cake is most certainly Emma’s fashionable attire.

I love the fashion in AMC’s Mad Men. I love the hats, the cigars, the dresses and the list goes on. I’m incredibly happy to see the fashion trend sway towards the 50s and 60s, which makes it that much more easier if you are planning on a e-shoot inspired by Mad Men.
The images from Vogue and many more magazines pleasantly provide some tips on how you can make it happen. It has it all, the makeup, the hair, the wardrobe, the stance, the persona and just about everything else.
The first set of visuals below is testimonial to how a gentlemen should pose with his lady friend.
The next set of visuals give you an idea of how you can rock it solo.

A few weeks back Dreamers Events was invited out to Park Hyatt for Bridalicious, a spectacular event dedicated to educating todays brides/grooms planning an Indian inspired wedding. Off course we graciously accepted.
The result: the workshop was truly amazing and helpful. Brides met with the following experts of the wedding industry : creative bridal and formal wear designers from Ctc West, wedding planning experts from Arora Wedding and Event Planning, talented makeup artists from Amplified Soul Make-up & Hair Couture, and renowned photographers from G + H Photography.
The event was intimate as it to allows for brides to directly speak with the professionals about their upcoming dream day and basket some ideas and inspirations.
Designing Trendz did a fabulous job in decorating the place to give it a complete zen like feel. Ultimately, the event was a big hit, the second of its kind as Bridalicious hosted a workshop in April also.
Bridalicious will have multiple workshops in the following year, so if you’re planning your wedding, be sure to grab a seat at their next workshop as it promises thoughtful techniques known to the professionals of the industry.
Film Style Weddings prepared a video to give future brides a glimpse of what to expect, enjoy.

These next set of photos you’re about to see comes from the incredibly talented Jennifer. Her work is impeccable and mesmerizing. She’s a wonderful to work with, as I’ve had the opportunity to work with her in the past. She’s all about capturing the details, ‘the’ moments with the right angle and light. She always makes it easy for the couples let loose and enjoy themselves. Today, I’m delighted to have the opportunity of sharing a hindu ceremony shot by Jennifer Images. The lovely couple is Samanta + Mahendra, both looked stunning on their wedding day. They had a two day celebration and you can check out the full set on Jennifer Images’ Blog.
Renaissance Studios: Prashanna + Rathika

We had the pleasure of planning our brothers wedding July 3rd, 2010. The wedding took place at a hindu temple with 400 guests. As per the request of my brother, Prashanna, and his wife, Rathika, things were kept very simple. They were some very important elements – the entrance, the music, traditional rituals that they focused on more.
The next day in the backyard of our sisters home, we had very close friends and immediate family get together for an intimate dinner and dancing. Renaissance Studio’s Clint and Taha took the lovely couple earlier in the day for a photo shoot with wild cats; it was pretty amazing. As animal lovers and activists Rathika and Prashanna dreamt of doing this always and thanks to the great staff at Jungle Cat World Wildlife– it was possible.
Renaissance Studio’s was absolutely fabulous. See below for teasers…
